Tinker has a new home! Her new mom and dad adore her and in return Tinker showers them with daily love and wet kisses. This sweet little 5 pound Pomeranian is one of the lucky ones. We have many more that need permanent loving homes. Please consider pet adoption.

Here in this house......

I will never know the loneliness I hear in the barks of the other dogs 'out there'.
I can sleep soundly, assured that when I wake my world will not have changed.
I will never know hunger, or the fear of not knowing if I'll eat.

and be allowed to smell all that can reach my nose.
My fur will shine, and never be dirty or matted.

I will be talked to and, even if I don't understand,
I can enjoy the warmth of the words.
I will be given a name so that I may know who I am among many.
My name will be used in joy, and I will love the sound of it!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Chris and Timmy BFF's Need Forever Home! ADOPTED!!

9 Month Old Special Needs Pom Bart ADOPTED!!

Bart is a sweet 9 month old Pomeranian male. His owners were unable to care for him properly and thus he required his paw being amputated. He gets along with cats and dogs as well as children. He is about 8 lbs and partially house trained.

Chunk is a 4yr old male large pom. He is a beautiful chestnut red boy with a great personality. Once he gets to know you he is all love and kisses. He is house trained and gets along with other mellow animals including cats! Chunk lost his home when his parents divorced and the bank began the foreclosure process on his home. He had to live there for weeks without electricity or running water. Luckily his former mom cared enough to take him supplies during the day. Since coming to rescue he is relearning that people are amazing and not going to abandon him again.

Hi, I am Tommy also known as Bunky. I am a super sweet special needs senior boy. My rescue found out that I am not only blind but deaf too! Once I get to know the layout of my home and how to get inside and out I am fully house trained. I do not mind other doggies and never really stop moving. This is why I am hard to photograph. I love to be pet and carried as well. I sleep quietly in a craate at night for my own safety. Do you mind if I come and live out my years with you in safety and comfort? I am only 10 but might live another 5 yrs or so.

Reggae and Lynxy Need a Furever Home

Lynx and Reggae were found abandoned in a partially constructed home where they were absolutely terrified and living under the house. After being rescued, they have been groomed and received the medical care required. Lynx is a sweet girl but would be most happy with Reggae whom she was found with for comfort. Lynx is about 3-4 years old as is Reggae her best furry friend. Lynx and Reggae are in need of foster care as well as a permanent home. They are about 10 pounds and have absolutely beautiful coats of pommie fur which they are very proud of. No doubt they will need work on house manners after being homeless but with a little love they should come around quickly.

By becoming a Foster a Fuzzy Butt Volunteer, you can make the difference between life and death for a homeless Pomeranian. The more Foster a Fuzzy Butt Volunteers we have, the more Fuzzy Butts we can accept into the rescue.

Southern California Pomeranian Rescue, Inc. is hosting a Howl-O-Ween Fundraiser.

Please mark your calendars for this fun event!
When: October 31^st, 2009 from 3:00pm-7:00pm.
Where: TBA

Please join us for a safe fun filled evening of contests, a “bone-yard” hunt, face painting, drench the volunteer booth, and a few other children's activities. We also will have a silent auction and baked goods for sale.

Helen Keller - Looking for Hospice Home

Helen Found Her Forever Home 09/25/09!!!

My foster mom calls me Helen after Helen Keller because I am blind. I was on my way to being dumped at a local Los Angeles animal shelter when SCPR took me from my owner so I would not have to be killed. I still have plenty of love to give even though I am not able to see you. I would love to sit on your lap and be petted and sleep next to you when you watch TV.

I am ready to come live with someone who can keep me safe and warm.
